When you paste the text many times it will not be perfect. No THL staff have used this and we have no experience with it. and choose Recognize Text Using OCR (OCR Optical Character Recognition). To OCR roman text with diacritic characters, investigate using Abbyy's FineReader ( ). In Scanned document editing settings, select the required language from the drop down of 'Recognize Text in'. If you have ever tried to OCR a PDF file in Adobe Acrobat and discovered that one page wont OCR and is still an image, you know the frustration. Then under Scanned Documents click on 'Settings'. a PDF, opened in Adobe Acrobat Pro, with a list of tools. Open PDF in Acrobat application and click on Edit PDF at right. Recognize Text in Multiple PDF Documents Click Enhance Scans. Be sure to check by doing a search on "the" or another word in the file and make sure it returns results. You can find the option to OCR in Chinese under the Edit PDF tool at right. It will take some time, depending on the number of pages in the PDF.
